We decided to take Porter for his first camping trip! He had so much fun playing in the dirt with all the rocks and sticks. He wore us out! We were chasing him all around. He is so fearless!!!!!
We went up to the Hayden Fork Campgrounds in the Uintahs. It was so pretty and it felt really nice...in the day. It got pretty chilly at night.
We finally made him sit down and watch a movie with Grandpa Wayman. (They came up just for a few hours and dinner.) We had to turn the movie on because we built a fire and Porter kept trying to get too close to it.
Here's the tent that we all slept in until about 1:30 in the morning when Porter woke up screaming because he didn't know where he was at. He was also cold because he kept kicking all the blankets off of him. Yes it was horrible and we couldn't calm him down! There was also lots of campers around us because it was Labor Day weekend. So.... after our attempts to calm him down, we packed up camp! Aaron and I were running around throwing everything in the 4runner as fast as we could. We just grabbed handfuls of stuff and smooshed everything in. We got home around 3:30 in the morning! Now we can laugh about it, but it was not funny at the time!

We were starting to feel guilty for not doing more fun stuff with our kids (like camping), then we read on and we remembered why we don't do stuff like that anymore :) Still, what fun memories! Maybe in a year or two, we can all go camping and our kids will have fun too!
