Our trip to the windy city...

So we survived the freezing cold weather of Chicago. It was so much fun and it went by so fast. Our kids were little troopers. They did so good on the airplane and they were good walking all over Chicago in the cold. We went to Chicago because my little hubby has been the BIGGEST Bears fan since he was a little guy! :) And... his parents are so awesome and they got us tickets to a Bears game for our birthday present. They told us they would watch our kids while we went and since Sydnee doesn't take a bottle and she's a way mama's girl...they flew out with us! Nice in-laws huh? We had an AWESOME time. Thanks Al & Lib!

Porter loved the airplane, especially the landing. He started cracking up.

We ate at the Spaghetti Warehouse that was by our hotel.

Aaron couldn't wait until gametime.

On the cta headed for Soldier Field! We were so excited and we didn't care how much snow or what the temperature was....

and... it was COLD! It was 11 degrees the night of the game.

waiting for the game to start

The team running onto the field. Way awesome! Just in case you don't know what happened in that game.... the bears won in overtime 27-24.

Aaron and I kept having to get up out of our seats and walk around to keep us warm, but it was so worth it!

We took the trains into downtown Chicago to shop, eat, and tour.

holding on

We took the kids downtown to the Shedd Aquarium. It was so big and cool. Even grandma and grandpa loved it.

the sharks

We had to take a pic of our Chicago italian beef sandwich...it was so good! We also ate the best mac & cheese! yum yum

All of us freezing our butts off.

Downtown Chicago with Port playing in the snow. Can you see Sears Tower?

We also took the kids to see Santa at Bloomingdale's. We were so surprised...there was no crying this year! Even Syd just sat there and looked at him.

Porter did not want to wait his turn in line and so when we finally got up to Santa, he immediately started telling him what he wanted for Christmas. It was so funny. Santa gave them each a cute little stuffed animal. Porter got a polar bear and Sydnee got a penguin.

shopping at the 900 shops.

We also went to Navy Pierre. There is a children's museum and it was really cute.

Porter wanted to climb in this cute climbing cage. The worker said that he was the most determined kid she had ever seen. He just kept going. It was actually for kids 5 and over, but they let Porter go and he loved it.

at the end

Kami - That looks like an awesome trip! I will have to drop some hints to my parents...ha ha ha!! And Isaac would have loved that net climbing tube - I think he and Porter would be great friends! Isaac loves trains too. Does Porter already have a train set?

I'm jealous, but you know you could just become a (10-5) Dolphins fan and go to a game in 85 degree in Miami instead of 11 degrees in Chicago...
